Helen’s electric car charging business has been transferred to Plugit

The transfer of Helen’s electric vehicle charging business to Plugit took place on 31 August 2026.

The acquisition strengthens the position of the Finnish company Plugit in Finland’s rapidly growing charging market and supports the company’s growth strategy in the Uusimaa region. As a result of the deal, Plugit has become the largest charging operator in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Our network expands with approximately 200 public charging stations and 800 charging points. As part of the transaction, the employees of Helen’s charging business will also join Plugit.

Plugit aims to integrate Helen’s public charging points into Plugit’s charging network as soon as possible. Helen will continue to provide services during the transition period. The aim of the transition phase is to ensure the smoothest and most uninterrupted continuity of services for customers and partners.

For Plugit’s existing customers, the change means a significant expansion of the charging network, particularly in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
